to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary Establishment

            Regarding request of the chief of west Thungyai, Mr. Paiboon, for Sesawo wildlife protection station construction. WFCC supported construction materials value ฿80,000 to build up a new permanent service house for the rangers as one of three projects of WFCC Commemorative Construction Projects to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of Thungyai WS establishment. As usual, WFCC provided manpower support through its completion like other where else such as Delu wildlife protection unit. The building is not only rangers, but also researchers and visitors shall benefit.

           The building, on the contrary, is the return of Thungyai’s first service house after its deconstruction several years ago. From the past; Sesawo, as well as Thungyai in larger scale, contains a long history of fighting. It had struggled from varied rape of poachers even by some government officers in a period. In the past, the helicopter crash incident in Nakkonpathom revealed their corruption during the way back after poaching from this site, as well as the case of a poaching teacher who could not be push to punishment because of his social authority. Until now, those threats have never gone. However, it is all Thungyai's rangers including all people's responsibility to protect nature and wildlife of this word heritage site as good as we can.
