It is the morning of August 31, 2005 after the Solar Cell System Installation Project at Maharaja, WFCC headed along Ladya - Lansak road to participate the 15 years commemoration of Seub Nakasatiean at Huai Kha Khaeng Wildife Sanctuary.
We reached Thungfaek Wildlife Unit, in subdivision of Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, at around 8.00 pm, compounded with some WFCC officers who previously arrived. All of us stayed there over a night. Then, we continued to Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Station in the next morning of September 1, 2005.
As well as every year, many people from everywhere in Thailand came in commemoration purpose and to pay respect to the important conservationist of Thailand who had devoted himself to urge people’s consciousness of natural resources and wildlife conservation. Also he was one who had made all his effort to ask for public cooperation on protecting the forest and wildlife. His isolate death with strong consistent objective and dedication has stimulated the conservationist in the following generation until now.
Besides officers from government section, many from private section, NGOs, including youth and students nearby came to attend the commemoration ceremony. After religious ritual, all the participants gathered at the commemorate monument of Seub Nakasatiean.
Mr. Urb Choengsa-ard, the Chief in Command of Thungyai Naresuan and Dr. Anak Pattanavibool came to attend the ceremony, as well as the chiefs from several wildlife sanctuaries, national parks, reserve zones, etc. After commemorated to the passed away Seub Nakasatiean, Mr. Teodsak Pattarawanee, WFCC representative, placed a wreath and paid respect to Seub Nakasatien in front of his commemorate monument.
It is the creative and useful idea of Mr. Pairoj Limchareon’s - the leader of the Natural World Heritage Site Ecosystem Management Project - of using decorative waistcloths instead of floral wretch, so that they can be distributed to support officers’ usage afterward.
