During 11th – 21th March 2006, WFCC Computer Technician approached Huai Khakhaeng Wildlife Sanctuary as to provide Huai Khakhaeng database system and website. By the time, the officers of Huai Khakhaeng WS and of Natural World Heritage Site Ecosystem Management Project were trained how to work on them. Purposely, these were constructed as technological basis for further development on structural site management system of Huai Khakhaeng WS. Also, the effective central computer database system and website will be readily for informative approach of all other concerns; other level of WS site management units, researchers, and outsiders. Following information provided by the Natural World Heritage Site Ecosystem Management Project, the Huai Khakhaeng WS website was again thankfully designed by Mr. Kiatkhajorn Chaisatien who was the web designer of WFCC website several years ago. From this initiative construction, WFCC worked on training program and the beginning construction. After that, Huai Khakhaeng WS officers, under cooperation of officers from the Natural World Heritage Site Ecosystem Management Project, will handle and update on their own as to keep it very informative and up to date dexterously. After training, the officer worked on upload the selective information step by step. These include a link page provided for Khao Nang Rum Wildlife Research Station whose situates within the area of Huai Khakhhaeng WS, and closely cooperates with Huai Khakhaeng regarding wildlife research and protection. The website of Huai Khakhang WS is now under construction. Expectedly, it will be ready for all visitors on May 2006 at http://www.huaikhakhaeng.net. The computer operation building is at the World Heritage House of Huai Khakhaeng WS, instruments supported by WCS (Thailand). Additional computer server was installed, internet connected through GPRS system by financial support of Natural World Heritage Site Ecosystem Management Project. To support the construction instrument expenditure, together with WCS (Thailand), WFCC donated Baht 16,900 for internet connection accessories to increase its capability on communication with outside world which means to further development of Huai Khakhaeng’ s efficiency on protecting the area as refer.
