Morning of May 17, 2005 : after breakfast, rangers, members and volunteers carried additional construction materials to the truck, then headed to the Hermit Mount.
today's tasks were trough and water tanks installation in order to keep water for rangers to use in the dry season as the radio station was established at the mountain top not like wildlife protection stations which all constructed by the stream.
According to the reason that the higher radio antenna is, the better radio ferformance. Thus, the radio tower of the central radio station was constructed at the top of Hermit Mount which was the highest point along the road track of the wildlife sanctuary.
But the radio building had no need to be constructed on the mountain top, it was more appropriate to locate the radio building by the lower hill side but not far from the cable limit.
The roof of the radio building was designed to get the most of water from the rain during the rainy season and keep it in the water tanks for daily and future usage.
Mr. Pun, a volunteer who got experience in trough installation was busy affix pieces of trough in that morning.
In the meantime, Mr. Pranuch and Berm were preparing the second antenna installation on the top of the mountain beside the radio tower.
Mr. Berm then climbed up to the top of the radio tower, locked himself to the radio tower with the safety belt and started to pull up the second antenna.
