April 19, 2005 at 4 pm. during the hill water construction material transportation to Ti Lai Pa wildlife protection station , WFCC stopped at Pu Jue wildlife checkpoint and set up a new radio antenna and cable as reported by the rangers that the radio had been out of order for days . The old radio equipment were not working because of the ground plain of the antenna was broken and the cable connector was also un-usable due to its severely damage by untrained user. In 2004 , WFCC had installed the first radio system for Pujue, the antenna pole was made of long bamboo with radio antenna affixed at its top. Some months ago , the rangers moved the antenna pole to the new location and accidentally made a mistake during the move so that the antenna ground plain was broken but the radio still working till some days ago the cable connector was accidentally broken by the untrained user, then the radio went dead. Luckily, WFCC got a spare antenna and cable in WFCC truck, so the radio repair was performed by using the old bamboo as its antenna pole. With the new radio antenna and cable with good connector, the radio was back to properly work again. Pu Jue wildlife checkpoint is located in the far northwest of the sanctuary near Mayanmar border, radio is a very important equipment for rangers to communicate and report not only its routine duty but also report all foreign troop movements to other authorities near by in the area.
