April 17, 2002 During Songkran Festival, WFCC headed to Thungyai to continued its radio system installation project at Koe Sagoeng wildlife protection station which located at the south west part of Thungyai. Koe Sadoeng wildlife protection station was constructed many years ago with a radio tower erected by its office but got no antenna, cable, and radio transceiver unit. Hence, nobody ever get used of its radio system. WFCC then, purchased and prepared all radio equipments and headed to Koe Sadoeng station with its members and volunteers to renovate and install radio system so that to support Koe Sadoeng to utilize and benefit and join Thungyai radio network communication system which is now undertaken by WFCC. After hours of work on the antenna tower and on ground, the radio system installation was completed, then Mr. Chai WFCC radio technician tested its performance. The result was satisfactory when its signal was successfully sent to Koengsada and Namdib radio stations and the quality of received signal was pretty well with clear audio. The main reason that block radio signal of Koe Sadoeng was its surrounded mountainous geographical location and its lowland level( approximately 300 meters above mean sea level) while others northern Thungyai radio stations were located at higher level on the opposite site of Kho Yai mountain range that stretched and separated the central part of wildlife sanctuary to Northern side and Southern side.
