Regarding Huai Kha Khaeng’s request, on August 13, 2005, HS7 – CEJ and HS7 – TKC, WFCC technicians, were assigned to survey the radio communication system at Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary. After the survey, WFCC found Huai Kha Khaeng’s shortage of communication equipment. Thus, on August 16, 2005, Mr. Nattakul Ketsin, on behalf of WFCC, visited Huai Kha Khaeng again to offer a YAESU T2800 mobile radio transceiver with transformer to Sub Pa Ploo wildlife protection station. After the installation and demonstration, WFCC also gave instruction of how to operate and serve maintenance.
Sub Pa Ploo wildlife protection station is located on the eastern bank of Huai Kha Khaeng stream. By its location, we can see its implement geographical sites as it accesses radio signal of several stations both of Huai Kha Khaeng and other neighbor radio stations. We can say that Sub Pa Ploo wildlife protection station is the second most important radio communication station next to Yu Yee radio center which located on the top of the mountain on the western side of Huai Kha Khaeng wildlife sanctuary at about 1,500 meters above mean sea level. In case there is an accident occurred with Yu Yee to be out of communication. Sub Pa Ploo, instead, will be the center of radio communication network throughout 90% of the eastern Huai Kha Khaeng wildlife protection stations which states separately from north to south.
Before headed to take participation on the flight operation of radio communication system survey at other wildlife protection stations of Huai Kha Khaeng wildlife sanctuary, WFCC took a brief chance to visit the barbed wire fence provided during the period of Mr. Chatchaval Pitdamkham when took his first responsibility as the Chief in Command of Huai Kha Khaeng. The fence is stated on the Eastern Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, stretching out from north to south to protect the wealthy forest area of Huai Kha Khaeng from being invaded by villagers around. The fence is now over a hundred kilometers long. However, construction is not yet completed due to budget shortage; both for continue the project and for reparation of those were furtively cut by villagers living near by.
