Radio Network System Construction
at Tinuay Wildlife Checkpoint
(Head Quarter)

                 September 7, 2005, WFCC staffs and its volunteers installed radio communication system for Tinuay wildlife checkpoint (the head office of Thungyai Naresuan Sanctuary), in order to facilitate Tinuay to access communication directly to the central radio network communication station at Hermit Hill. The more effective communication equipment will encourage rangers and patrols’ capabilities on protecting the area. Particularly, Tinuay is one of the most important wildlife checkpoints since it is the first stop that Thungyai’s officers can examine travelers before they get in. And, ultimately, it is the last point for the outward traveler who may secretly carry something back, which the officers need to strictly keep an eye on.
