24 October 2006 we lacked of another staff of KNR, our schedule therefore a little bit delay.
It was Ae's quotation to cheer up all of us the night before; "When the chief comes, things shall be better." , After Mr. Saksit; the chief in command of Huai Khakhaeng, perceived our problem that morning he commanded some of HKK officers to rip off the obstructive leaves. When our obstacle was eliminated, Koh again climbed up the over 10 meter tower to search for the signal.
Finally, the noise of glad burst from all our mind when the software monitor report its effectiveness. Our wear and disappointment along the past three days were swiftly faded away.
After Koh climbed down, wiring and cabling work begun; connected to controller at its destination; the computer center.
At the computer center, WFCC technicians prepared controller then made connection to the computer WFCC previously donated. We ensured its effectiveness in connection to the target satellite before all the process successfully completed after altogether 6 times of our experimentation effort along the past three days.
After KNR meeting that night, WFCC started one of the most important thing of the mission that were training of system control and usage. The description was divided into 3 parts; Basic knowledge of Communicative satellite system, Satellite system Control, and Internet Application for general usage. The training continued to the next day, and completed at noon time of 25th October 2006. Altogether, the mission takes 5 days to completion. Before separated, KNR Tiger Research team gave a cap for each of us as a souvenir.
By its objectives, the satellite installation mission at KNR wildlife research station is to develop communication session to support internal and external cooperation on site management also to support research and other academic activities. การดำเนินการติดตั้งอุปกรณ์ระบบสื่อสารดาวเทียมสถานีวิจัยสัตว์ป่าเขานางรำนี้ นอกจากจะเป็นการพัฒนาการสื่อสารของสถานีวิจัยฯให้ทัดเทียมก้าวหน้าเฉกเช่นเดียวกับสถานีวิจัยฯชั้นนำของนานาประเทศแล้ว ยังจะเป็นประโยชน์ในการทำงานแก่ข้าราชการ เจ้าหน้าที่ นักวิจัย ที่ปฏิบัติงานอยู่ที่สถานีวิจัยฯโดยตรง และยังจะถูกนำมาใช้สนับสนุนการติดต่อสื่อสารแบบสองทางระหว่างงานวิจัยเสือเขตฯทุ่งใหญ่ ของสถานีวิจัยฯกับเจ้าหน้าที่วิจัยที่ปฏิบัติงานภาคสนามอยู่ที่เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าทุ่งใหญ่ด้านตะวันตก รวมทั้งสนับสนุนการทำงานวิจัยของสถานีฯด้านอื่นๆที่กำหนดอยู่ในแผนงานวิจัยเต็มตารางหลายปีที่แขวนไว้ที่หน้าสำนักงานอีกด้วย
WFCC had dedicatedly workout the communication development project by funding of over Baht 80,000 for Maharaja wildlife protection station of Thungyai Naresuan WS and KNR wildlife research station in Huai Khakhaeng WS, along out expectation to weld the two sanctuaries as a certain unique world heritage site by communicative revolution. Our theory became perspective that day; 24 October, the anniversary of UN establishment and in 2006; the 30 years anniversary initiation of KNR, the first wildlife research station of Thailand.
