As a part of the principal project of Maharaja wildlife station improvement and the construction of King Naresuan the Maharaja's Shrine to commemorate 400 years of the passed away Great King which begun since July 2005. It was 2:20 pm of 11th August 2006 when WFCC again approached Maharaja wildlife station for the solar cell installation project which had then progressively driving forth. And, that time it was lasting to one of the final stage which was solar panel and the electrical system installation. After received advance payment from Mr. Supachai who paid on behalf of the main project supporters; Mr. Yot and his colleagues, some additional materials were purchased and transported by order to be gathered at WFCC office along that noon time. While some staffs were providing all necessary supplementation, the others just approached the office, as well as Mr. Pornlert Laorsuwan; a solar system expert from a well-known solar cell equipment and accessories supplier named Leonics, who would participate as project supporter, also the instructor for installation, operation and maintenance. When all stuffs were already loaded onto our altogether three trucks, the journey started headed to Thungyai Naresuan WS at after 3 am of the following day.
At 6 am of 12th August 2006, we reached Thongphaphume district and had breakfast there before continuing the way. After 9 am, we arrived WS office of Thungyai Naresuan and met Mr. Jitti Sawatsai; the head of Maharaja wildlife station who had been waiting. Then, we transferred some materials to Thungyai's truck which Mr. Erb Cheongsa-ard; the chief of Thungyai commanded to help transportation through the mission as well as some Thungyai officers were commanded to help. Before we leaved to Maharaja, Mr. Kulphak Karnkosol whose previously informed that Mr. Boonchai Saensupsin; one of Thungyai's officer just bought a car from Mr. Jitti Sawatsai, donated 2 spare wheels for him. The unused spare wheels of Mr. Kulphak will be much more useful at Thungyai as to serve traveling and transportation in such difficult track through the pristine wildlife sanctuary.
We were reported from "Aunt Noi" the chef of Thungyai WS office that it had been heavy rain along over the past 10 days. Thus, it could be assumed that the road must be much more terrible than usual. Although some materials had been transferred to Thungyai's truck, the red truck of WFCC still bore a tons of the rest material together with weight of 4 staffs on top, as well as Mr. Chai's truck which also carried a heavy weight of material and equipment.
As we reached the slippery Dika hill, WFCC truck in which carrying the supporters and project advisor from Leonics got problem when its front axle did not in function. So we needed to help push and pull uphill. As well as Mr. Pranuch's motorcycle which died out because water flooded over and into its start-plug, so it also needed to be push uphill.
When the obstacle passed and all trucks reached hilltop of Dika, we stopped and unlocked the wheels to check and repair. By the time of waiting, some other staffs together with Mr. Pornlert and his crews had lunch together on the road.
It was our fortunate that it was not rain that day. However, we met several difficulties throughout the way; troublesome from road condition, flood, natural fallen tree barrier across the road, truck's problems, etc. Anyway, we finally passed and reached our destination safely by all experienced and skillful drivers.
At the gate of Maharaja wildlife station, we found that Songtai stream level increased to car hood level. However, each trucks were able to move across safely except the grey truck of WFCC which has opened nose on its hood which let water easily flooded into the engine. Mr. Nut helped removing water until its electrical circuit returned in function.
It was nearly 5 pm when we reached our destination at Maharaja. We hurriedly unload all material and began the project at once since that time we had a very tight scheduled to finish the mission.
