After completion of solar panel installation, Chai the technician metered power current from the panel then began installing cable to terminal box. 200 meters of two spiral 2.5 mm. diameter with 300 volt capacity electric cables were unwrapped and installed along supporting bar under the panels from one on west, descended to the final at east which was the nearest to the terminal box.
Fortunately, the cable were used up, very enough exactly when the connection finished. Numbers were marked on each line for easier to install and after-check. The numbers put on each cable would then matched to those provided by Koh on each solar panel.
To assure connection of cable lines to each panel, Chai the electrical technician decided to solder each cable's tip, then he insulating covered those connections by a high quality tape melted with a tiny PVC piece prepared by Sua; a new WFCC volunteer, while A (Mr. Suradech helped opening each tips and Mr. Thitjit helped assure the coverage again by heat-adhesive.
At another side, Mr. Jitti and his crew were engaging with underground wiring process from solar panel to underground cable of Maharaja's radio communication post which situated nearby. After 10 mm. diameter of underground electrical wire was stretched along the furrow provided. Its both tips were then connected at specific position and had insulating covered following Aun's instruction. After finished, Mr. Jitti and his crew backed to continue their fencing task. Aun and Keng then connected electricity main from solar panel termination box to another box inside solar house, then covered the electricity main by PVC conduit before put it underground.
Around the solar panels spread burnt smoke and smell from soldering iron. Since the morning until noon time, the electrical cable installation and connection task were continuously driven, as well as the progressive fencing task driven by Mr. Jitti's team.
Mr. Pranuch returned from wildlife patrol mission at just after 1 pm, laughingly reported his unlucky to meet a bear during patrol. He ran away in frighten for a while and then found that it was the direction back to Maharaja. And that annoyed him to restart the journey. So he changed his mind, cancelled the mission and returned to join us. The story made other staffs also couldn't stand laughing at his unlucky day.
After walked survey around the station, Mr. Chavalit, Ms. Wan, and Ms. Pao returned uphill to the worksite and told they had taken several shots of beautiful plants and insects. It was found afterward that one them is a rare butterfly species and its photo is hardly ever been taken. After discussed for a while, all of them helped fastening the fussy cables to the panel supporting beam by cable ties. After exterior electrical wiring and connection process finished, we walked downhill to have lunch at around 2 pm.
