According to West Thungyai tiger research Support Project which the next step onsite will begin by the end of of this year. September 1, 2006 Mr. Jitti Sawatsai; the head of Maharaja wildlife station, following by Mr. Mong-Joe; the ranger, traveled with WFCC officer to transport satellite with full accessories from the supplier to be installed at Maharaja wildlife station to support communication with KNR Wildlife Research station at Huai Khakhaeng WS. The satellite WFCC donated material & installation expense will be settled during 6-9 September 2006. It was to reduce communication difficulties, indeed to extend internet communication opportunity to support KNR regarding the tiger research project. Also it was objected to save time, manpower, oil and other expenditure result from several long journeys between both WS throughout the project period. For long term, the satellite shall facilitate any further wildlife and plant research projects in west Thungyai, not only for KNR and WCS (Thailand) as just the present.
