During 5th-6th November 2006, WFCC worked out on computer system improvement. For more convenience and a better working efficiency, WFCC donated some additional computer accessories such as; wireless access point, headphone & microphone set, AC outlet, universal AC adapter plug, CAT5 cable, hard disk, 3D video graphic card, etc. After installation and setting all functions, all computer are able to access internet through satellite gateway WFCC previously provided. Moreover, the 3D video graphic card we provided can effectively support Google Earth program usage which will benefit site survey and patrol mission, including further educational research. Even the signal is quite not stable, the position of Thungyai can support VoIP communication program anyhow. So we can make connection from internet to exterior cell phone and general telephone.
According to wireless internet LAN, the area inside and around the office of Maharaja wildlife station which is partially King Naresuan's shrine is the hot spot area preserving site operation on West Thungyai Tiger Research Project along the forthcoming quarter as well as any other educational research in the future. After computer center installation completed, WFCC staff hurriedly headed to KNR Wildlife Research Station mission of Computer Network System Improvement Project in Huai Khakhaeng WS following schedule.
