Wildlife Track Survey Project

                 Among the rapid change of the present world, to publicize the information about natural environment may be an effective way to urge people’s consciousness and/or to expand the determination of natural conservation. WFCC also realizes this important process to serve our original aim of preserving Thungyai Naresuan Forest Complex to be existed and keep its abundant as a grant heritage of humanity.
 

                 January 2005, WFCC started follow up the destination by visiting Mr. Saksith Simchareon, the head of Khao Nang Rum Wildlife Research Center where under the responsibility of Huay Khakhaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, to discuss about the direction, procedure and participation. The meeting was positively completed with both agreement of participation on wildlife track survey project in Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary.

                 In the meeting during the 4th period of Hermit Hill Radio Network Construction Project, Mr. Eerb, the Chief in Command of Thungyai Naresuan, was informed about the theme and the objective of the project. He agreed and pushed WFCC partial work as one of the cooperation project between Thungyai Naresuan and WFCC. In conclusion, the project has been granted by 3 organizations; WFCC takes responsibility on field survey equipments and operation, including coordinating an expert to train Thungyai representative officers about field operation and computer functions to support the survey database. Thungyai Naresuan supports area and manpower. And, technical term, audit, including other information and instruction supported by Khao Nang-ram Wildlife Research Center which Mr. Saksith Simchareon honorably states as Project Consultant.
 

                 Ideally, we suppose the project will primary resolve the difficulties problem of wildlife tracking survey in such wild jungle, also it could earn important database for further research and reservation achievement in the future. In addition, ultimately, after publicize all the information, it may expand the people who notice the important of ecology Thungyai contains, and expectantly, they may realize the important of protecting the forest which lead to be sustain conservation as far as it reach.
