Mr. Yongyuth Tiyapirat, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment clearly confirmed to the press that there is no lay off policy of the 44,000 temporary workers of the national park wildlife and plant conservation department who patrol and protect the forests as the rumor on newspapers. As the moment 14,000 temporary workers had turned to be permanent forest officers and next 12,000 will be welcomed soon while the rest will be personally hired on work specification basis. Mr. Yongyuth Tiyapirat, added that the news of 44,000 temporary forest workers will be lay off this coming October has spoiled working morals among the forest workers throughout the nation and might turned out to be new political criteria. He firmly refused against this news and confirmed that all 44,000 forest workers will be hired to work as forest officers after the first 14,000 had already got their positions due to the regulation of Office of the Civil Service Commission.
